Elizabeth, known as Betty, was born in January 1748 in Warrington and her baptism took place on January 13th, 1748 at St. Elphin (Warrington).1  Betty's father was Josiah Mather and her mother was Ann. She had two brothers named Richard and Benjamin.  She was the oldest of the three known children.



Betty's family with Peter Forster

‌Betty and Peter were married in a religious ceremony on August 6th, 1769 at St. Elphin (Warrington).1  They had a son named William.
