Benjamin was born in September 1753 in Warrington and his baptism took place on September 14th, 1753 at St. Elphin (Warrington).1  Benjamin's father was Josiah Mather and his mother was Ann. He had a brother and a sister, named Richard and Betty.  He was the youngest of the three known children.  He died at 4 months old in January 1754 in Warrington.  His burial was on February 1st, 1754 at St. Elphin (Warrington).1
