Dinah's father was James Mather and her mother was Mary Whitehead.  Her paternal grandparents were James Mather and <Unknown>. She had a brother and two sisters, named William, Bridget and Phebe.  She was the youngest of the four children.  She died at the age of 23 in February 1852 in Manchester.  She was buried on February 20th, 1852 at St. Thomas (Radcliffe).^2 3
