David (Edwin) Edward Mather

David, known as Edwin, was born in June 1849 in Bolton and his baptism took place on July 8th, 1849 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹²

Edwin's father was John Mather and his mother was Lelitia (Loah) Crankshaw. His paternal grandparents were John Mather and Ann Coup. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Alfred, John, Frederick, William, Mary, Elizabeth and Mary. He had a foster brother named Edwin. He died at the age of 48 in March 1898 in Little Bolton. He was buried on April 2nd, 1898 at St. Peter (Halliwell).³
