Catherine was born in December 1858 in Little Bolton.1  Catherine's father was Richard Mather and her mother was Mary Heyes. She had three brothers and three sisters, named James, William, Samuel, Sarah, Jane and Alice.  Samuel and Catherine were twins.  She died in December 1858 in Bolton.2
