Amelia (Amy) Mather

Amelia, known as Amy, was born in September 1842 in Salford.¹

Amy's father was William Mather and his mother was Amelia Tideswell. His paternal grandparents were Colin (Cast Iron) Mather and Hannah. He had three brothers and a sister, named Colin, William, John and Alice. He was the youngest of the five children.

- In 1871, Amelia (27) was living with her mother Amelia (63) at Stand, pilkington. Ahe married Andrew William Manson at Stand 10 May 1871.
  
  In 1891, Andrew W and Amelia Manson (48 & 47) were living at Chorlton on Medlock with 5 daughters.
