Jean was born in September 1946 in Birmingham.1  Jean's father was Eddie Lyte and her mother was Edna Price.  Her paternal grandparents were Albert James Light (Lyte) and Florence Stones; her maternal grandparents were Samuel Price and Ada Green. She had a brother and a sister, named Colin and Brenda.
