Nelly (Ellen) Lomax

Nelly, known as Ellen, was born in 1791 in Breightmet and her baptism took place on May 13th, 1792 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

Ellen's father was Joshua Lomax and her mother was Anne (Nancy) Wood.  Her paternal grandparents were John Lomax and Sarah Settle. She had three brothers and a sister, named Susannah, Robert, Mary and Nancy.  She was the second oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 51 in December 1842 in Breightmet.  She was buried on December 15th, 1842 at Christ Church, Ainsworth.²
