John was born in 1786 in Breightmet.  John's father was George Lomax and his mother was Catherine Crompton. He had two brothers named James and Richard.  He was the oldest of the three children.




John's family with Sarah Bracewell

‌John and Sarah were married in a religious ceremony on May 6th, 1825 at St. Peter's (Bolton).2   They had a son and two daughters, named Richard, Mary and Sarah.  There are possibly more children.
