Ann's father was James Lomax and her mother was Nancy (Mary) Holt. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Henry, John, Sarah, Jane and Mary. She was the fifth oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 5 in January 1853 in Breightmet. Her burial was on January 23rd, 1853 at St. Peter's (Bolton).²
