Agnes' father was James Knowles and her mother was Agnes Bertwistle. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Benjamin, John, Jane, Elizabeth and Alice.  She was the youngest of the six children.  She died as an infant in December 1725 in Turton.  She was buried on December 14th, 1725.¹
