Anne was born in 1796 in Edgworth and her baptism took place on June 4th, 1796 at St. Peter's (Bolton).1  Anne's father was William Isherwood and her mother was Margaret (Peggy) Haslam. She had two brothers and four sisters, named John, Thomas, Jenny, Mally, Kitty and Alice.
