Elizabeth was born in 1726 in Shocklach and her baptism took place there on March 2nd, 1726.1  Elizabeth's father was William Hopley and her mother was Anne Williams.  Her paternal grandparents were William Hopley and Mary Moyle. She had two brothers and a sister, named Thomas, John and Mary.  She was the second youngest of the four known children.  She died at the age of 55 in December 1781 in Poulton (nr Chester).  She was buried on December 5th, 1781 at St. Chad (Farndon).2

‌Elizabeth and Francis were married in a religious ceremony on July 8th, 1750 in Chester.2  They had a son and a daughter, named John and Mary.
