Jane was born on April 5th, 1818 in Turton and her baptism took place there on November 24th, 1819.1  Jane's father was Benjamin Holt and her mother was Jane Kay.  Her paternal grandparents were Edmund Holt and Ellen Hamers. She had two brothers and a sister, named Edmund, Thomas and Jane.  She was the third oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 1 on December 5th, 1819 in Turton.  Her burial was on December 5th, 1819 at St. Anne (Turton).2
