Betty's father was Thomas Holt and her mother was Ann Meadowcroft. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, James, Mally and Ann. She was the second oldest of the five children.

General Notes
- Although the christening record only shows father as Thomas, another for sister Ann 2 years later also shows mother as Ann. Both records show father as Thos Holte and birthplace of Harwood, Eng.
  
  This Betty seems to old for spouse William, as she was 27 and he 17 when they married. There must be another.
