Ann was born in 1755 in Harwood and her baptism took place on August 31st, 1755 in Bolton.1  Ann's father was Thomas Holt and her mother was Ann Meadowcroft. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, James, Mally and Betty.  She was the third oldest of the five children.
