Arthur was born in December 1910 in Birkenhead.1  Arthur's father was Arthur Thomas Hamer and his mother was Catherine Walsh. He had a brother named Peter.  He was the younger of the two children. He had a half-sister named Peggy.  He died at the age of 87 in 1997 in Lancashire.2 



Arthur's family with Lilian Ellen Heskith

‌Arthur and Lilian were married in a religious ceremony in 1942 in Ormskirk.3   They had two daughters named Jennifer and Wendy.  There are no more children.
