Margaret was born on April 7th, 1803 in Bury and her baptism took place on May 22nd, 1803 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Bury).1  Margaret's father was Richard Greenhalgh and her mother was Ann Rostron. She had a brother and a sister, named Thomas and Elizabeth.  She was the second oldest of the three children.
