Elizabeth was born on April 11th, 1801 in Bury and her baptism took place on May 10th, 1801 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Bury).1  Elizabeth's father was Richard Greenhalgh and her mother was Ann Rostron. She had a brother and a sister, named Thomas and Margaret.  She was the oldest of the three children.
