John Greenhalgh

John was born on June 9th, 1837 in Breightmet.¹   John's father was William Greenhalgh and his mother was Mary Clough.  His paternal grandparents were Robert Greenhalgh and Eleanor (Ellen) Walmsley. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Robert, Ezekiel, Joseph, Ellen, Mary and Mary.  He was the second oldest of the seven children. He had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named James, William, Nephi, Jacob and Sarah.
