Alice Gibson

Alice was born on February 10th, 1799 in Great Harwood and her baptism took place on March 3rd, 1799 at St. Bartholomew (Great Harwood).¹

Alice's father was Cuthbert Gibson and her mother was Nancy Mercer.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry Gibson and Margaret (Peggy) Giles. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Henry, Thomas, Ann, Margaret and Maria.  She was the second oldest of the six known children.  She died at the age of 35 in July 1834 in Blackburn.  She was buried on July 27th, 1834 at St. Paul (Blackburn).²
