Emily was born in December 1890 in Bolton.¹

Birth Notes

Emily's father was John Entwistle and her mother was Eliza Jane Mather. Her maternal grandparents were Wright Mather and Sarah Powell. She had a brother and four sisters, named John, Sarah, Elizabeth, Mary and Eliza. She was the second youngest of the six children.
