Elizabeth's father was John Entwistle and her mother was Eliza Jane Mather. Her maternal grandparents were Wright Mather and Sarah Powell. She had a brother and four sisters, named John, Sarah, Mary, Eliza and Emily. She was the second oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 1 in February 1882 in Halliwell. Her burial was on February 20th, 1882 at St. Paul (Halliwell).²
