Cornelius' father was John Entwistle and his mother was Martha Crook.  His maternal grandparents were Christopher Crook and Margaret Donovan. He had a sister named Eliza.  He was the younger of the two known children.  He died at the age of 2 on November 10th, 1861 in Eccleston.  He was buried in November 1861 in Eccleston.²
