Richard was born in 1815 in Worthen.1  Richard's father was Thomas Eddowes and his mother was Mary Broxton.  His paternal grandparents were John Eddowes and Ann Gittins. He had a brother named George.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 71 on January 20th, 1886 in Worthen.
