Sarah was born in 1717 in Nantwich and her christening took place there on January 4th, 1717.1  Sarah's father was Benjamin Dale and her mother was Elizabeth Horton.  Her paternal grandparents were William Dale and Sarah Dale. She had a brother and three sisters, named Richard, Mary, Anne and Elizabeth.  She was the youngest of the five known children.
