John Cunliffe

John was born in June 1848 in Haslingden.¹   John's father was Henry Cunliffe and his mother was Sarah Ingham.  His paternal grandparents were James Cunliffe and Sarah Lord. He had eight brothers and five sisters, named James, Lord, John, John, James, Henry, Joseph, Thomas, Mary, Sarah, Hannah, Ann and Mary.  He was the fifth oldest of the fourteen children.  He died at the age of 2 in 1850 in Rossendale.²
