Frances was born in September 1846 in Sharples and her baptism took place on August 23rd, 1846 at St. Laurence (Chorley).1 2  Frances' father was James Cunliffe and her mother was Sarah Jackson. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Richard, James, Elizabeth, Margaret, Hannah, Sarah and Mary. She had an adopted sister named Sarah.  She died in 1846 in Sharples.1
