Peter was born in 1843 in Sharples.1   Peter's father was Daniel (Dan) Crook and his mother was Mary Walsh.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Crook and Hannah (Nanny) Walsh. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Daniel, Joseph, Mary, Betty and Alice.
