Mally was born in 1799 in Almondbury and her christening took place there on August 11th, 1799.1  Mally's father was James Campinot and her mother was Grace Shaw. She had a brother and seven sisters, named Joseph, Hannah, Sally, Betty, Sally, Nancy, Charlotte and Fanny.  She was the fifth oldest of the nine children.
