Margaret Brereton

Margaret was born before 1536.

  Birthdate: estimated between 1530 and 1574

Margaret's father was Sir William Brereton MP and her mother was Jane Warburton. Her paternal grandparents were Sir William Brereton and Anne Booth. She had a brother and three sisters, named William, Elizabeth, Ann and Jane. She was the oldest of the five children. She died in 1593.¹

  Margaret Brereton married, firstly, William Goodman, Alderman of Chester. He died before 1556.
  
  Sometime after 4 October 1556, Margaret married Sir William Mostyn. This was his second marriage, so Margaret must have been over 21 (i.e. born before 1535), so the eldest of the children. William was MP for Flintshire, ad lived at Mostyn. He died 9 Sep 1576
