Kitty was born in 1765 in Witton, St Helen.  Kitty's father was Rev Joseph Brereton and her mother was <unknown>. She had a brother and three sisters, named Thomas, Nancy, Lucy and Polly.  She was the oldest of the five children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Joseph, Alethea and Alethea.  She died at the age of 82 in May 1847 in Manchester.  She was buried on May 5th, 1847 in Hulme (near Manchester).1
