Alethea was born in December 1748 in Acton by Nantwich and her baptism took place there on December 28th, 1748.1  Alethea's father was Rev Joseph Brereton and her mother was Alethea Kilderbee. She had a brother and a sister, named Joseph and Alethea.  She was the oldest of the three children. She had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named Thomas, Kitty, Nancy, Lucy and Polly.  She died at the age of 1 in 1749 in Acton by Nantwich.  She was buried on July 30th, 1749 in Acton by Nantwich.2
