Enoch was born in August 1828 in Congleton and his baptism took place on May 11th, 1828 in Astbury.1 2  Enoch's father was William Brereton and his mother was Sarah Capper.  His paternal grandparents were <Unknown> and Elizabeth Brereton. He had a sister named Elizabeth.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 22 in October 1850 in Wybunbury.  He was buried on October 27th, 1850 in Wybunbury.2
