Vera was born in September 1906 in Huddersfield.¹

Birth Notes

Vera's father was Joe Bottomley and her mother was Edith Garside. Her paternal grandparents were John Bottomley and Hannah Gill Dyson. She had three brothers and a sister, named Horace, Vincent, Hedley and Ruby. She was the third oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 52 in 1958.
