George Booth

George was born in December 1848 in Bolton and his baptism took place on June 3rd, 1849 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹²

George's father was John Booth and his mother was Ann Hulme (Holmes). He had four brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, Calvin, John, James, Mary, Mary, Alice and Nancy. He was the eighth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 81 in March 1930 in Bolton.³

In 1881, there was another George Booth and Sarah Ann Jacques (both 33), married in 1873 at Spring Garden Street, Royton with John George (7) and Esther Ellen (8 mo).
