  NOTE: Fred was born in 1874 and was aged 4 in 1881. This second record for Fred appears to be an indexing error as there waa no death for Fred, and freeBMD does not have an 1881 birth (8d, 322). Perhaps the record was for Fred, and then corrected to Harry.

Harry's father was Richard Bolton and his mother was Elizabeth Wild. His paternal grandparents were Richard Bolton and Maria Aspinall. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Fred, Arthur, Alfred, Annie and Florence. He was the fourth oldest of the six children.
