Hannah Bennett

Hannah was born in December 1814 in Warrington and her baptism took place on December 25th, 1814 at St. Elphin (Warrington) conducted by Curate J Topping.¹

Hannah's father was John Bennett and her mother was Sarah Mather. Her maternal grandparents were Samuel Mather and Sarah Curran. She had three half-sisters named Ann, Sarah and Mary.

General Notes
- It was another Hannah (MMN = Cook on GRO) who married William Smith, a miner and had John, Thomas, Joseph etc at Windle, Prescot, Lancashire. In 1851, this Hannah Smith, 34, born Warrington was a widow with her 5 sons.
