Ann was born in 1817 in Turton.1  Ann's father was Thomas Allen and her mother was Jane.  Her paternal grandparents were Richard Allen and Rachel Knowles.  She died at the age of 67 in April 1884 in Royton.  She was buried on April 16th, 1884 in Royton.2

‌Ann and Thomas were married in a religious ceremony on February 24th, 1834 at Manchester Cathedral.3   They had three sons and three daughters, named Thomas, John, Charles, Margaret, Amelia and Mary.  There are possibly more children.
