Regina was born on July 12th, 1904.  Regina's father was Hendrik Johannes (Henry John) Thomas Martens and her mother is Regina Elizabeth Bester.  Her paternal grandparents were Hendrik Jacobus Phillipus Martens and Elizabeth Ann Magnus. She had a brother and a sister, named Henry and Sheila.  She was the oldest of the three children.  She died at the age of 21 in 1925.
