Russell was born on December 28th, 1901.  Russell's father was Henry Washington Dye and his mother is Mary Ida Lee.  His paternal grandparents were Dusosway George Dye and Mary  Ann McKinley. He had a brother and five sisters, named Charles, Luvena, Leona, Leora, Carrie and Kenna .  He was the youngest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 84 on July 9th, 1986.



Russell's family with Ada Stahlman

‌Russell and Ada were married on October 1st, 1924.  They had three sons and three daughters, named Eugene, Carl, George, Elizabeth, Dorothy and Nancy.
