Nathaniel Stevens Sr 
Nathaniel was born on May 11th, 1753 in Canaan, Litchfield County, Connecticut.1 Nathaniel's father was Andrew Stevens Sr and his mother was Ester Safford. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Stevens Sr and Mary Hall. He had five brothers and six sisters, named John, Safford, Andrew, Stephen, Oliver, Mary, Esther, Dorothy, Amy, Olive and Desire. He was the fourth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 79 on September 26th, 1832 in Canaan, Litchfield County, Connecticut.1 General Notes
