John, known as Lackland, was born on December 24th, 1166 in Beaumont Palace, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1   Lackland's father was King Henry (de Normandie) II and his mother was Queen Eleanor (Queen of France) d'Aquitaine.  His paternal grandparents were Count Geoffrey (Duke of Normandy) Plantagenet V and Maud (Queen of the English / Lady of the English) of England.  He was an only child.  He died due to a medical problem, Fever, chills, exhaustion after crossing Wash of Lincoln & Norfolk, at the age of 49 on October 19th, 1216 in Newark, Nottingham, England.  He was buried on October 19th, 1216 in Worcester Cathedral, Worcester, Warwickshire, England.2 1
