Robert Ransom Jewett 
Robert was born on March 8th, 1827 in Granby, Connecticut.1 Robert's father was Dr Joseph Franklin Jewett and his mother was Elizabeth Bancroft Reed. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Jewett and <Unknown>. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, Erastus, Charlotte, Charlotte, Caroline and Cornelia. He was the second youngest of the seven children.-
