Sarah was born on December 26th, 1677 in Hucknall, England.

Sarah's father was John Hallowell and her mother was Mary Holland. Her paternal grandparents were John Hallowell (Halliwell) and Elizabeth Marriott; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Holland and Mary. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, John, Samuel, Benjamin, Mary, Elizabeth, Hannah and Jane. She had a half-brother named John. She died at the age of 69 on July 17th, 1747 in Pennsylvania, USA.
