Thomas was born in 1449 in Kilkhampton, Cornwall, England.1 Thomas' father was Sir Thomas Grenville Sr and his mother was Elizabeth Gorges. His paternal grandparents were Sir William (Lord of Kilkhampton, & Bediford, Cornwall) De Grenville (Granville) and Philippe Bonville. He was an only child. He died at the age of 64 on March 18th, 1513 in Kilkhampton, Cornwall, England.
