William's father was Knight Nicholas Bonville and his mother was Joan Champernoun. His maternal grandparents were Henry Champernoun and <Unknown>. He was an only child. He died on February 11th, 1408. He was buried in Newenham Abbey, Devon.1 1 Death Notes

She died 27 March 1426, and was buried in the nave of the church of Newenham Abbey, Devon beside her 5th husband, William Bonville."
