Frederick Merrick Giddings 
Frederick was born on October 29th, 1834 in Cherry Valley, Ashtabula County, Ohio.1 Frederick's father was Horace Fish Giddings and his mother was Almira Jones. His paternal grandparents were Elisha Giddings and Philothea Fish. He had a brother and a sister, named Albert and Statira. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 28 on April 21st, 1863 in Murfreesborough, Tennessee. He was buried in Murfreesborough, TN. Grave #485.1 1 General Notes
Frederick enlisted in the 105th OVI in 1862. He was wounded in the battle of Perryville, KY.
