Helena was born on February 15th, 1708 in Heusden Zolder.¹   Helena's father was Jacobus (arnoldus) Gathoffs and her mother was Christina Vanderheyden.  Her paternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>. She had two brothers and a sister, named Jos, Antonius and Maria.  She was the youngest of the four children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Petrus, Andreas  and Maria Catharina.
