Anita was born in 1909 and her baptism took place on January 9th, 1909.1   Anita's father was William James Hodges and her mother was Elizabeth Ann Rogers.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Hodges and Mary Harris; her maternal grandparents were George Rogers and Hannah Ward. She had two brothers and a sister, named William, Kenneth and Muriel.  She was the second oldest of the four children.
